Hello,

I’m ANDREA

I have taught English worldwide both in language institutions and privately. In addition to teaching, I have also worked outside the academic field and so have an understanding of what people need in order to function and work successfully in another " business world".

Bio

A highly skilled, creative and adaptable teacher with a depth of international work experience in varying fields.

A university graduate with a post- graduate (PGCE) qualification in English language teaching and over 25 years accumulated teaching experience with different ages and levels in different locations.

I have excellent management, organisational, and communication skills, am self-motivated, innovative, adaptable and used to working in multi-national and multi-cultural environments.

I have taught English worldwide both in language institutions and privately.

In addition to teaching, I have also worked outside the academic field and so have an understanding of what people need in order to function and work successfully in a different " business world".

The transfer of knowledge depends on how best a student learns; what works well for one person will not necessarily do the same for another.

When teaching adults, I put myself in their position and think what I would like to know or have clarified. Adults like to know the reason "why" and being able to explain grammar in an interesting way so that they can understand the function helps them to feel more confident when they use English.

I structure lessons according to the needs of the individual student and am always ready to address unexpected questions that are not directly connected with what is being covered in each particular lesson.

Flexibility is the keyword and a readiness and the knowledge to answer what a student needs at any particular moment.
